Small Home Source Listing Criteria

Small Home Source is dedicated to helping consumers discover businesses that specialize in tiny homes, ADUs, and other small housing solutions. To keep the directory focused and useful, businesses should meet the following guidelines.

Eligible Businesses

To be included in the directory, a builder should:

  • Build tiny homes on wheels and/or foundation-built ADUs.
  • Offer homes that are generally under 1,000 square feet.
  • Have small homes as a significant part of their business (generally at least 25% of their business), or operate a dedicated division focused specifically on tiny homes or ADUs.
  • Maintain an active website or online presence where consumers can learn more about their products and services.

Businesses That Are Not Eligible

At this time, the directory does not include:

  • Companies that primarily sell storage sheds or shed kits.
  • RV manufacturers or dealers.
  • Businesses whose primary focus falls outside the small housing industry.

Small Home Source reserves the right to determine whether a business is a good fit for the directory and may update these guidelines as the industry evolves.

Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Small Home Source (“the site”, “we”, “us”), including browsing the directory, creating an account, claiming or submitting a listing, and purchasing a listing plan. By using the site or purchasing a plan, you agree to these terms and to the listing criteria above. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

Accounts

  • You must provide accurate, current information when registering, claiming, or submitting a listing, and keep it up to date.
  • You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your login credentials secure.
  • We may require a private contact email and phone number so we can reach you about your listing. This information is for our records only and is never published.
  • We may suspend or close accounts that violate these terms or misrepresent a business.

Listings and moderation

  • All listings and listing changes may be reviewed before publication.
  • We may edit, decline, or remove any listing that does not meet the listing criteria above, is inaccurate, or is otherwise unsuitable for the directory, at our discretion.
  • A listing is a directory entry, not an endorsement, certification, or guarantee. See our disclaimer.

Plans, payments, and refunds

  • Paid listing plans are billed through our payment processor, Stripe, at the prices shown when you select a plan. We do not see or store your card details.
  • If your listing is declined during review, your payment is refunded automatically.
  • Once a listing is approved, payments are non-refundable. We may make exceptions case by case at our discretion — contact us if something has gone wrong.
  • Plan prices and features may change; changes apply from your next billing period.

Cancellation and lapsed plans

  • You may cancel a paid plan at any time from your dashboard. Cancellation stops future billing; it does not refund the current period.
  • If a paid plan is cancelled or a renewal payment fails, the listing loses its paid features and reverts to the free tier, and may be unpublished.

Acceptable use

  • Do not submit false, misleading, or infringing content, or claim a listing for a business you do not represent.
  • Do not scrape, spam, probe, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the site or its data.
  • Contact details published on listings are for consumers evaluating that business, not for marketing to the businesses listed.

Your content

You keep ownership of the text, images, and other material you submit for your listing. By submitting it, you grant Small Home Source a non-exclusive license to display, resize, and promote it on the site and in material about the directory. You confirm you have the rights to everything you submit.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The site is provided “as is” and “as available”. We do not warrant that listings are accurate or complete, or that the site will be uninterrupted or error-free. Any agreement you enter into with a listed business is between you and that business. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Small Home Source is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the site, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date above reflects the current version, and continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated terms. For material changes affecting paid plans, we will make reasonable efforts to notify account holders by email.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which Small Home Source operates, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
